Putting that new floor down in your living room is certainly not as difficult as it used to be. Things have changed that will make it much easier for you to install your new flooring, and be able to enjoy it some – before the weekend is over! By using Quick Step laminate floors, you can save a lot of time, and you will also be glad to have such beauty added to your home.

If you have ever put down a wood floor that needed glue, then you know what a real mess it can be. Quick Step laminate floors need no glue. The laminate boards are tongue and groove and use a special patented Uniclic system to lock the boards together. Because the boards are precision cut, your new floor will have no spaces between them, and they will stay that way for an indefinite period. This proven system is immensely strong and allows the floors to be guaranteed for many years.

- Quick Installation

Your new floor can be put down in a rather short amount of time, especially when compared to the time of a regular wood floor. You can put your laminate floor down at any angle, horizontal or otherwise, and the locking system will hold the boards together extremely tightly. Once the floor is in place, you can walk on it immediately because there is no glue that needs to dry, or be cleaned up. The locking mechanism can also be unlocked, giving you the convenient option of removing the floor and putting it down in another room, if you want to.

- Durable Surfaces

The surface of Quick Step laminate floors, like most laminate floors, is a photograph of real wood. But over the photograph, is a highly durable resin-based melamine. This material is so tough, that it will definitely endure most normal use, as well as much heavier utilization. It strongly resists scratches, stains, and even cigarette burns, so owners needn't worry about it being easily marked.

- Underlayment Helps Protect

An included layer of underlayment will help level off any uneven areas giving you an even smoother new flooring surface. The underlayment also acts as a vapor barrier, to keep any moisture that may come up from underneath your floor away from the laminate material - providing you with a more enduring floor. Another great feature of the underlayment layer is that it deadens the annoying sound that is sometimes present with these types of floors.

Laminate floors by Quick Step come in a large variety of colors and you are sure to find just the right shade and style for your home. Quick Step products are readily available at numerous stores and can also be ordered through the Internet. The floors are less expensive than real wood, but certainly will add the beauty that you want for your home. Telling the difference between a laminate floor and a real wood floor is one of the joys you will have when your friends and neighbors come to visit.
