There is also SEB’s or Scleral Expansion Bands, which are new implantation devices to treat presbyopia also. This procedure takes about 30 minutes and involves placing 4 PMMA segments just under the surface of the white part of the eye. This surgery is still in FDA investigational stages in the USA, so you will want to check with your doctor to see if it is fully approved before seeking this type of treatment.
