Xerox India Make A Bid To Shore Up Market Share

Manufacturing the world’s best document processing products, Xerox Corporation has been able to bring about a revolution in the document management industry in India. Since the manufacture of its first plain white paper copier, the company has gained immense success in modifying the concept of printing and copying solutions. Facilitating the work environment, Xerox has satisfied the consumers on all counts, be it exceptional quality, cordial service or effectiveness.

Xerox is running its business successfully in over 160 countries worldwide and distributes its products through divisions, wholly-owned subsidiaries and third-party distributors. Xerox operates in India through its subsidiary; Xerox India Ltd. Overviewing the past years of success of the company, 1998 would always be counted as its landmark year. Of the estimated 40,000 copying machines sold that year, an estimated of 27,000 were manufactured by Xerox.

The copier business of Xerox Corporation is doing great in India at present. Indeed, the company’s name itself has become synonymous with copying. At present, Xerox India is looking forward to carve out a large share of the Indian document industry with the introduction of their range of products made with cutting edge technology for small and medium businesses.

In the year 2006, Xerox India had planned to partner with 30 new clients, with an estimated market revenue realization ranging between $9-12m per client i.e. Rs 40-55 Crore. In addition, Xerox Global Services has gained an average deal size between $6-10m for a three-year contract with these Indian clients. Xerox India improves in customer satisfaction to 90% which further accelerates the company’s revenue growth.

Xerox’s growth and high performance in selling quality copier supplies like Xerox toner and Xerox paper also contributes significantly to their sales. The company is also working in partnership with some leading IT distribution companies in India which further assists it to expand its geographical reach thereby increasing market presence. Such effective strategies have always facilitated the Xerox to counter the competition from other reputed copier brands.
