Jesus performed many miracles in the Bible. He knew he was on a mission to save mankind from its own sins, and in this effect he used miracles to heal the sick, to renew someone's faith in the Lord, or simply to do something good in the name of his Father. Reading about the miracles of Jesus Christ is one of the many wonders of reading the Bible.
"This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him." John 2:11
Not everyone who witnesses Jesus' miracles started to believe in him. Take note even one of his apostles, after the crucifixion, wanted to see the wounds on Christ's hands before he believed that the Son of God had, indeed, resurrected.
Are there any other stories of Christ's miracles? Here's an inspiring one. A Roman soldier was traveling to find a cure for his sick daughter. This Roman soldier met Jesus Christ, and he told the Son of God his problems. Jesus simply held his burdened shoulder and told him to go home and he'll find his daughter alive and well. The Roman soldier, tired and worried, decided to have faith in Jesus' words and went back home. He found his daughter had grown well again just as Jesus said. This is just one of Jesus' many miracles in the Bible.
If you read the Bible, you will come across this section, "Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people," Matthew 4:23. The Bible didn't go through the exact details of how many miracles Jesus performed over this course of his lifetime. But based on that section of the Bible, Jesus performed a lot more miracles than what was written down. Simply put, miracles played a big role in the story of Jesus Christ in the Bible.
"But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me." John 5:36
Imagine how the blind man felt when Jesus healed his eyes and allowed him to see for the first time. Jesus spat on the dirt and made mud out of it. Then he rubbed it on the blind man's eyes, and told him to go to a pool of clean water and wash his eyes. When the mud had been cleaned off, the blind man opened his eyes, and he could see. The blind man praised God for the miracle that Christ brought unto him.
This story carries a lot of significance today. Many people today claim to be able to perform miracles, to heal the sick, etc. But the problem is these individuals who perform the miracles are glorified, not God. We must remember that God is the only reason why all these miracles are possible in the first place. Without God, there would be no miracles. Be thankful to the person who healed you, but glorify only the One behind everything.
